My Name is Kaz I am an ex-nurse and I share a house with my mad black and white cat called Elwood. Getting him was an accident, I only offered to home him while my best mate was living in a hotel to save her cattery fees and 7 years later he is still here and now behaving like a spoilt teenager.

This journal is nothing exciting it just contains day to day life along with a few thoughts feelings and musings of this mad woman. I have suffered from clinical depression for the last 10 years and started this journal as a sort of therapy. Somewhere to put down my thoughts, wishes, dreams. One of my biggest dreams is to have a baby no mean feat for a single woman of 40, I started trying when I was 38 as I began understand that if I didn't at least give it a try, even if I tired and failed, I would regret this for the rest of my life. I have been called mad by by some including my parents, but I also have a lot of support from friends. I have put this off for years and lived by everyone else's rules. No more, the worm has turned, now I start living for me and not other people expectations. Well, I hit 40 and convinced myself it was not going to happen, wanting something so much was just making me ill and I needed to move on so I started at college, to build up my confidence with the aim of going to university and retraining to do something other than nursing. October 2007 I thought the dreaded menopause had started, but no just before Christmas it registered I was pregnant

So a totally new journey has begun

And now another one begins tomorrow I move up to Lincs and very very soon I will be holding the little monster in my tummy
